what i wanted to ask was how to express if the potential words is " it will be better if i can get more"? can i say" that's life. i don't want anyting else / more"? in chinese与我不需要更多are totally different. what about in english?

haha is the thread taken a turn for the worst

我不需要更多: If you said "that's life. I don't expect anything more." then you would mean that life is somewhat negative/average, but it could be better. Saying "that's life. I don't need much more." is pretty much the same.

Does that help?

Also, if someone says "is taking a turn for a worse," it means that something bad is happening. In this case, the thread was filling up with annoyed people, and the conversation was heading in a negative direction, so therefore I said that it was taking a turn for the worse.

"Assuming the computer" is not a complete sentence, but if you want to know what it probably means (given the rest of the sentence),then here is an example:

Assuming the computer doesn't explode,I will go to work today
如果电脑不爆炸,那我今天去上班。

To assume something is to think of something as a certain way without proper proof. In this case, he is assuming the computer won't explode, although he is not entirely certain.

Then yes, it pretty much means "if the computer at the recipient's end is turned on..."
