what i wanted to ask was how to express if the potential words is " it will be better if i can get more"? can i say" that's life. i don't want anyting else / more"? in chinese 与我不需要更多are totally different. what about in english?
haha is the thread taken a turn for the worst
我不需要更多: If you said "that's life. I don't expect anything more." then you would mean that life is somewhat negative/average, but it could be better. Saying "that's life. I don't need much more." is pretty much the same.
Does that help?
Also, if someone says "is taking a turn for a worse," it means that something bad is happening. In this case, the thread was filling up with annoyed people, and the conversation was heading in a negative direction, so therefore I said that it was taking a turn for the worse. |
