这局话只是从一个古老故事来的。有一个水手，他的名子是Odysseus。他得坐船去别的地方，但是在左边有Scylla， 在右边有Charybdis。 Scylla和Charybdis都是巨物；Scylla有六个头，喜欢吃人。Charybdis喜欢喝洋。因为Charybdis可能喝掉他的船，Odysseus去了左边，所以Scylla吃掉六个朋友们。这两个选择都不好，但丢了六个朋友们比丢了船和所有的人更好。

今天的意思只是所有的选择都不好。

It's my pleasure~~~adam. 上火 is not only because of the bad weather. a feeling of upset can also lead to it. sometimes i get canker in the mouth and a dry nose. that's a kind of 上火 as well. in this case can i express it by " i feel a tad bit under my pressure of work recently"  ?

It is from Homer (荷马史诗). In the ancient story,  ...

ha~~~i got it! we often express something like that in chinese" 进退两难" OR "左右为难"
